  • Tae Kwon Do is a great workout and great fun!

    The only way that any exercise program works is if you are able to stick with it. The reason most people drop their exercise routine whether it’s going to the gym or working out at home, is that they get bored. The monotony and repetition involved with most traditional forms of exercise turns off many people after just a few months and they lose motivation and whatever benefits they gained. Tae Kwon Do classes are full of variety and the average student trains for years, not months.

    • What is Tae Kwon Do? How is it different from other martial arts?

      The different martial arts all originated in different countries thousands of years ago as forms of self-defense. Karate comes from Japan and Kung Fu from China. Tae Kwon Do is native to Korea. In terms of techniques, Tae Kwon Do emphasizes kicks more than other martial arts, making it ideal for improving balance, flexibility, and endurance.

      Tae Kwon Do is safe and fun for students of all ages and physical abilities. Classes are supervised by expert instructors. All students are taught techniques in a step by step manner and at their own pace. A thorough stretching routine, matted flooring, and the use of protective safety equipment are all part of our commitment to ensuring student safety.

    • What if I never did it before or I’m out of shape?

      At YDTaekwondo, we have ongoing enrollment, so beginners are always welcome. Our special trial program makes it easy for new students of all fitness levels to get started. First time students receive one-on-one instruction designed to answer common questions and provide an introduction to the basics of Tae Kwon Do. In addition the belt system used in Tae Kwon Do allows all students to train at their own pace and improve their physical condition gradually.
